California School District Goes Solar, Storage, Electric Buses

Porterville Unified School District is installing a 763 kW solar array, 408 kW/1632 kWh battery storage, and 35 DC fast chargers for electric buses. The microgrid, supported by an EPA grant, will offset 80% of electricity consumption and avoid 37,000 metric tons of CO2 over 30 years.
