Git worktrees allow multiple isolated working directories from one repository, each on its own branch. This solves AI agent context loss and file collisions during parallel development. Tamir Dresher used this pattern at the Microsoft Global Hackathon 2025 to run multiple AI agents simultaneously, each in its own VS Code window with independent files.
