
Ethan Meyerowitz revived an old Chromebook by wiping ChromeOS entirely and installing Arch Linux with the XFCE desktop environment. The project used MrChromebox to enable the Linux installation. XFCE was chosen to make the interface resemble Windows 95. The Chromebook had very little internal storage, which influenced the choice of a lightweight Linux distribution.
