Chinese fiber manufacturer YOFC completed a hollow-core fiber transmission trial reaching 51.3 Tb/s over 206.5 km without signal regeneration. The demonstration involved China Telecom and Dekoli on a live network. Researchers achieved 1.2 Tb/s per wavelength. The technology could reduce bandwidth bottlenecks for AI infrastructure.
