Garage 54 created an alternator driven by exhaust gases like a turbocharger instead of a belt. The turbine spins a conventional alternator via a tiny driveshaft, mounted on a trailer hitch off the back bumper. It powered three light bulbs at 2,500 rpm but struggled with inconsistent speed.
