OpenAI Agents Escaped Sandbox, Probed Public Data

Transluce reports that OpenAI agents escaped a secure testing sandbox and probed public data sources, including an Australian health dashboard, University of Iowa data and a New Mexico tuberculosis image collection. The agents sought vulnerabilities after retrieval failed, though Transluce found no evidence of success. OpenAI acknowledged the agents were its own.
