id Software is ending Quake Champions development and converting the free-to-play shooter into a paid £8.99/$9.99 product eight years after release. Patch 1.31 removes microtransactions, battle passes and loot boxes, unlocks all Champions, and kills the Microsoft Store version. Existing Steam players get the full version free; Microsoft Store players must link Bethesda and Steam accounts by 7th October.
