Researchers Develop Safer Sodium Battery Electrolyte

A team led by Professor Chan-Jin Park at Chonnam National University developed a polymerizable deep eutectic solvent electrolyte for sodium metal batteries. Published in Energy Storage Materials in 2026, the study reports a high ionic conductivity of 1.39 mS cm⁻¹ and 90.4% capacity retention over 1,000 cycles.
