Researchers from Vrije Universiteit and Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna revived Spectre v2 as Branch Target Reuse, the first practical in-place attack on JIT compilers. It leaks password hashes at 5.7 KB/sec on Intel Raptor Cove. Linux and Oracle patched; Mozilla prioritized site isolation. Two CVEs assigned.
