CyberSN data shows US cybersecurity job postings hit a four-year low of 235,786 between January and September 2026, down 26.4% from 320,210 in 2025. While total roles dropped, AI Security Engineer demand surged 268.3% and Cyber Data Scientist demand grew 203.5% over the same period.
