Creatives demand the Albanese government not weaken copyright laws under a potential deal with AI companies. An industry proposal would grant AI companies exemptions to mine creative content in exchange for over $50bn in datacentre investment and a $350m-a-year artists fund. Senator David Pocock called it the 'ultimate dirty deal'.
