Google uses Nvidia tactics to challenge AI chip dominance

Google is using financial guarantees and circular financing, tactics Nvidia used to dominate AI chips, to win data-center customers for its TPUs. A $3.2bn guarantee for a New York data center will rent TPU computing power to Anthropic. Google also backstopped a $7bn Louisiana data center and a $1.4bn Texas lease.
