Google Announces Quick Share SDK for Third-Party Apps

Google announced at the Android Dev Summit 2026 that it is introducing a Quick Share SDK for third-party developers. The SDK will support Android and iOS, releasing in the first half of 2027. This allows apps to embed wireless file sharing natively, eliminating the need for the system-wide menu and removing server infrastructure requirements for developers.
