Wipro Extends Bench Time to Six Months

Wipro will let junior and mid-level staff in Band 2 and below stay on the bench for up to 180 calendar days from October 1, after which they face separation. The move contrasts with TCS and Cognizant, which cap bench time near 35 to 60 days, and follows employee complaints to the labour commissioner over Wipro's unpaid Extended Bench Leave Programme.
