EDA Giants Claim Agentic AI Autonomy Gains

Cadence, Synopsys and Siemens EDA all claim major agentic AI progress in 2026, with Cadence saying its ChipStack agent hit bounded Level 5 autonomy on June 1 and Synopsys claiming L5 for long-horizon agents. But all speed figures are vendor or customer claims with caveats, measuring different things against different baselines, and no independent evaluation exists.
