The UK's Information Commissioner's Office is exploring a Statutory Regulatory Sandbox to test innovations that would otherwise violate data protection requirements. The regulator said sandboxes, controlled time-limited environments with relaxed rules, are important but have limits, including using live personal information in boundary-pushing cases.
