Gate Launches PoSEC Framework After Binance Hack

Following a Binance attack stealing $6.36 billion, Gate launched a Proof of Security framework on Thursday. Gate reports 88.26% of assets in cold storage and 11.74% in hot wallets. Coinbase states 99% of assets are offline. Upbit holds 99.17% in cold wallets as of September 2026. Other exchanges like OKX and Bithumb also disclosed lower ratios.
