Google Messages is widely rolling out a redesign that changes how users access timestamps and replies. Swiping left anywhere in a conversation now shows sent times and RCS encryption status, while swiping right on a bubble sends a direct reply. The update appears in version 20260910_03_RC02, though the older two-circle design remains most common.
