On October 20 and 21, an attacker attempted to exploit CVE-2026-97229 in GitLab, crashing worker processes eight times. Alpine Linux rebuilt the instance from scratch on October 27 after finding no evidence of code execution. Users must reset passwords and upgrade to Ruby 3.3.13 or later to prevent future risks.
