AMEC targets 100+ high-end chip tools in five years

AMEC plans to expand its high-end semiconductor equipment portfolio to more than 100 types within five years via in-house development and acquisitions. Founder Yin Zhiyao announced the goal at the company's 22nd anniversary event on Aug. 1. AMEC has developed 54 types, including 26 plasma etching tools and 24 thin-film processing tools.
