Edmunds named the 2026 Tesla Model 3 Rear-Wheel-Drive the most efficient production EV. It traveled 393 miles, beating its EPA rating by 8.3 percent, and returned 4.61 mi/kWh. The trim starts at $36,990, $9,000 below the average new car transaction price.
