Apple drops watchOS 27 support for older watches

watchOS 27 will drop support for the original Apple Watch Ultra, Series 8 and older, and older Apple Watch SE models. Apple Watch and Health Product Marketing Manager Cait Dooley stated the decision is for users' own good. Affected watches will only receive essential security updates starting in September.
