LeCun raises $1bn for world model AI

Yann LeCun raised a reported $1bn seed round for AMI, a new firm building world models instead of chatbots. LeCun argues large language models cannot achieve real intelligence because they lack understanding of the physical world. A four-year-old child has seen as much raw data through vision as the largest language model.
