US-China Truce Leaves India Exposed to Oil Tariffs

The US and China extended their Busan trade truce to January 10, 2027, shielding Beijing from new tariffs. GTRI warns this leaves India as the sole major buyer of Russian oil exposed to US tariffs of up to 100% under the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026, signed September 18.
