Nvidia acquires Hugging Face for $12.93B

Nvidia agreed to acquire open-source AI platform Hugging Face for $12.9bn. The deal, expected to close in the first half of 2027 pending regulatory approval, will scale Hugging Face's platform while keeping it open for developers, who can still build without Nvidia compute.
