Aylight raises €4.5M for optical interconnects

Swiss photonics startup Aylight raised €4.5 million in a pre-seed round co-led by Elaia and Swisscom Ventures. The company develops chip-scale multiwavelength lasers for AI data-center optical interconnects and FMCW sensing. Founded in 2025 by Bahareh Marzban and Dmitry Kazakov, Aylight's technology generates multiple wavelengths from a single chip using a frequency-modulated comb architecture.
