Apple Says macOS 27 Won't Be Compatible With These Macs

macOS 27 will only run on Apple silicon Macs. Intel-based Macs including the 13-inch MacBook Pro (2020) with four Thunderbolt 3 ports and the 16-inch MacBook Pro (2019) will not be compatible. Apple will unveil macOS 27 at WWDC 2026 on June 8 and release it widely in September. Users of Intel Macs must upgrade to M-series or A18 Pro chips to run future macOS versions.
