Land Rover, Stellantis to Build Defender Pickup in U.S.

Land Rover and Stellantis plan to co-develop a Defender pickup truck to be built in the United States. The collaboration aims to help Land Rover avoid the 25% Chicken Tax on imported pickups and enter new segments. The partnership stems from a memorandum of understanding signed in May to explore product development opportunities in the U.S.
