NewOrbit raises $18.5M for VLEO satellites

UK startup NewOrbit raised an oversubscribed $18.5M Series A led by Voyager Ventures to build the first commercial satellite for very low Earth orbit at 200-300km. First launch is planned for 2028. The company's NEO-1 satellite uses an in-house propulsion system to withstand drag and atomic oxygen for up to five years.
