Almost nobody pays attention to web standards anymore

ValidateHTML, an independent project by French developer Théo Ducreux, audited the 5,000 most popular domains from the Tranco list. It found 87.2% of sites have HTML violations, with only 2.6% fully clean. Over a third failed accessibility checks, including missing alt text and ARIA labels.
