VW targets Level 3 driving in China by 2027

Volkswagen and Horizon Robotics will deepen cooperation through their joint venture Carizon to develop AI foundation models. Carizon's advanced driver-assistance solution has entered mass production and will be deployed in Volkswagen models in China starting in the third quarter of this year. Deliveries of vehicles with L3 capabilities are set to begin as early as the second half of 2027.
