Crypto losses fell 46.8% year-on-year to $1.32 billion in the first half of 2026, but CertiK warns the drop is misleading. Exploits rose 59% quarter-on-quarter to $807.5 million in Q2, driven by the KelpDAO and Drift Protocol hacks by North Korean state-sponsored hackers. The number of incidents more than doubled to 207, the highest TRM Labs has recorded in a six-month period.
