Brown professor finds AI cheating after in-person exam

Brown University professor Roberto Serrano suspected AI cheating on a take-home midterm after his class of 86 students averaged 96%. He switched the final to in-person; 18 students dropped, 9 skipped, and only 2 scored within 10% of their midterm. The university is now reviewing cases individually.
