WhatsApp says it disrupted new NSO spyware phishing attacks

WhatsApp detected and stopped spear-phishing campaigns allegedly conducted by NSO Group, which tried to trick users into clicking malicious links. Meta says the prior $167 million fine and court injunction have not deterred NSO's targeting of WhatsApp users. NSO also created test accounts and groups that were taken down.
