Nvidia Targets CPU Dominance with Vera Rubin

Nvidia is promoting its Vera Rubin chip system, which pairs 36 Vera CPUs with 72 Rubin GPUs per NVL72 rack. The system processes 10 times more tokens per watt than Grace Blackwell, is 100 percent liquid-cooled, and is already in use by OpenAI. Nvidia claims the Vera CPU outperforms rival CPUs from AMD and Intel for agentic AI tasks.
