Ireland probes X age checks under Online Safety Code

Ireland's media regulator Coimisiún na Meán opened its first Online Safety Code investigation into X, examining whether its age assurance and parental controls are effective. Breaches carry fines up to EUR 20 million or 10% of relevant annual turnover. X is contesting the code after losing a High Court challenge.
