Google DeepMind launches WeatherNext 3 AI model

Google DeepMind and Google Research released WeatherNext 3, an AI weather model generating hourly forecasts at 5-kilometer resolution using live geostationary satellite data. It improves precipitation accuracy by up to 50 percent and powers Google Search, Maps, and the Gemini app.
