Google's Gemini 3.5 Pro Remains Undelivered

Google's Gemini 3.5 Pro, announced for a June launch, remains unreleased as of September. Rivals have since launched new frontier models, including OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra and Anthropic's Claude Fable 5.1. Google DeepMind has also undergone a leadership shakeup, with Demis Hassabis moving to a new role.
