LG starts cell production at $2bn Lansing plant
LG Energy Solution began production at its $2bn Lansing, Michigan plant, formerly a GM Ultium Cells joint venture. It will supply nickel manganese cobalt cells for Toyota's 2027 Highlander EV and lithium iron phosphate cells for Tesla's Megapack 3 under a $4.3bn agreement.
