India eliminated import duties of 5% to 7.5% on key smartphone components including wireless charging modules and lithium-ion cells, effective July 9. The exemptions, which lower costs for companies assembling devices in the country, remain in effect through March 31, 2029, benefiting Apple and its manufacturing partners.
