ByteDance adds AI guardrails after MPA copyright dispute

ByteDance signed a memorandum of understanding with the Motion Picture Association covering all its AI models, including Seedance, Seedream, TikTok, CapCut, and Dreamina. The pact follows a February cease-and-desist letter accusing Seedance 2.0 of systemic copyright infringement. Newer models like Seedream 5.0 Pro and Seedance 2.5 include stronger IP safeguards.
