Economists on AI-infused future: "We must act now"

More than 200 economists, including 16 Nobel laureates and chief economists from OpenAI and Anthropic, signed a statement warning that AI may become radically more powerful over the next decade, driving an economic transformation larger than the Industrial Revolution in a vastly shorter time frame.
