Apple is engineering the M7 Ultra chip to support up to 1.5TB of unified memory, double the planned M5 Ultra capacity. The configuration may not launch due to memory-chip shortages. The M5 Ultra, debuting later this year, will offer up to 768GB. Upgrading to 1.5TB from 128GB could cost over $35,000 based on Apple's current RAM pricing.
