iOS 27 code reveals iPhone lock for missed payments

Code in the iOS 27 beta shows Apple can place a financed iPhone in "Restricted Mode" after missed payments, blocking most apps. A new "Partner Finance Lock" prevents erasing, reselling, or stripping the device. The system, called App Managed Features, lets financing partners like Klarna perform ongoing status checks.
