Tesla launches battery cell startup challenge

Tesla launched the Cell Giga Challenge, a program for startups to test battery cell production technologies at Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg in Grünheide. Applications are open until July 24, 2026, with the program starting in August. The initiative targets solutions in materials, equipment, manufacturing processes, automation, and AI, aiming to accelerate innovation into industrial production.
