SkyPilot Raises $20M in Seed Funding

SkyPilot, a San Francisco-based AI compute platform provider, emerged from stealth with a $20 million seed round led by Lux Capital. The company, founded in 2026 by researchers including Zongheng Yang and Ion Stoica, unifies fragmented clouds and clusters into a single supercomputer for AI training and inference. Funds will support product development, engineering hires, and the open source ecosystem.
