Sony Music Entertainment filed a new lawsuit against AI music generator Udio in a New York court on Monday, covering 30,117 recordings including songs by Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Johnny Cash, and Harry Styles. Sony claims Udio copied and ingested the songs into its generative AI models. Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group have settled with Udio and now partner with the company.
