US agencies warn of AI attacks on Siemens PLCs

Five US federal agencies warned Wednesday that hackers are using AI-generated exploit scripts to target internet-exposed Siemens S7 Series programmable logic controllers in water, energy, manufacturing, and agriculture. The attacks, called an "active threat," could disrupt critical industrial processes, cause downtime, safety incidents, or equipment damage.
