South Korea will draw up record budget spending exceeding 800 trillion won ($530.97bn) for fiscal 2027, funded by booming AI chip tax revenues. Budget Minister Park Hong-keun said the plan will be financed through higher tax receipts and 50 trillion won in expenditure cuts. Three mega-projects covering chips, AI data centers, and physical AI receive top priority.
