Google Photos Adds Toggle Between Ask Photos and Classic Search

Google Photos added a toggle at the top of the results page letting users switch between Gemini-powered Ask Photos and classic search without digging through settings. The change addresses feedback after Google paused Ask Photos' rollout in June 2025 over latency and quality concerns. Users who have not opted in may still see the toggle, but selecting AI search starts onboarding.
